This particular role is a Systems Accountant, and we are looking for individuals who may not be currently working in the NHS but if you have the relevant experience and desire to work in the NHS, we’d like to hear from you.
The Financial Systems Accountant is a pivotal role with the Finance Department and will involve partnership working internally with the Information and IT departments and external organisations.
The post holder will be responsible for providing expert advice and support to users of the financial ledger and will be the expert with regards to financial systems, finance data processes, data architecture and data flows.
The post holder will have ownership and responsibility for managing the financial systems including maintaining and developing system controls and reviewing relevant processes along with identifying and implementing continuous improvements.
The post holder will be responsible for leading on in house training and support on use of financial systems to the user community.
The post holder will have primary responsibility for identifying, evaluating, testing and managing appropriate upgrades to software and hardware.
