An international brand with a strong track record of success are looking for an experienced manager to lead a team of 10 purchase ledger clerks in a dynamic environment.
A fast-growing and fast-moving global business which was established over 100 years ago and is a market leader in the UK.
We are looking to appoint an experienced and self-motivated accounts payable manager to ensure the smooth running of the department, and to hire, develop and support staff in conjunction with the supervisor.
Following a number of system improvements over the last 2 years, a key output of this role will be to focus on standardizing processes and building successful internal and external relationships.
You will be a decisive leader who is able to set and measure a range of individual and departmental objectives to ensure processes are optimised. You will oversee department activities such as payment runs and approvals, while also analysing and reporting financial information internally and externally to meet deadlines. You will develop and enforce controls to meet Sarbanes-Oxley requirements while also monitoring and maintaining balance sheet accounts.
An experienced leader, you will lead by example with a positive ‘can do’ attitude. As expected, you will have extensive experience and understanding of the purchase to pay environment, along with strong communication skills. It would be highly advantageous if you have a track record of process optimization and have worked with SAP or similar ERP systems.
