Seymour John are working in partnership with an international manufacturing group who seek to recruit a Management Accountant to work within the management accounting team. In this role you will report to a Senior Accountant and be responsible for the production of monthly management accounts using SAP, coupled with assisting with forecasting and budgeting.

Reporting:

• Produce management information to satisfy group and local deadlines.
• Analysis of material variances.
• To liaise with relevant departments to assist with the resolution of costing and master data queries.
• Review trends and challenge current performance, identifying risks and opportunities.
• Presenting clear financial information to support decision making at all levels of management.
• Create reports to challenge operational activities with a view to pro-actively drive cost savings.

Month End Reporting:

• Assist in the month end process. Identify opportunities to reduce the time taken to finalise the accounts.
• The ability to work to tight deadlines and build relationships with staff at all levels is essential.

Process Improvement:

• Provide support in the development of new business systems, e.g. TM1
• Identify and help to drive process efficiencies within the finance and controlling areas.
• Support the Senior Management Accountant in the improvement of internal controls and processes.

Forecasting & Budgeting:

• Assist with monthly, quarterly and annual forecasts and projections.

Compliance:

• Assume responsibility for the completion and accuracy of key balance sheet reconciliations as directed by the Senior Management Accountant.
• Assist with internal, group and external audits as and when required.

To be considered for this role it is essential that you have experience gained from working in a manufacturing environment and ideally have SAP experience coupled with strong Excel skills. You will ideally be a qualified accountant, but my client is open minded to considering part qualified candidates.
