Management Accountant - South Wales

Management Accountant | FMCG | Abergavenny | £32,000-£42,000 per annum

My client, a South Wales based FMCG manufacturer is recruiting a Management Accountant, to provide accurate and meaningful financial reporting and analysis for the site, and to assist the operations team in successfully managing and developing the business.

The role,

• Preparation of accurate weekly management accounts for the full site P&L 
• Create budgets and financial forecasts, from which site based targets for cost and performance are generated, and used to keep the factory focused on delivering against their KPI’s
• To produce and administer weekly stock inventory.
• Keep up to date record of internal transfers of goods between sites.
• Provide analysis of Direct and Indirect Costs and Overheads.
• To obtain from relevant departments detail of factory orders and cost for inclusion in the weekly management accounts.
• Budget and Forecasts – preparing the monthly S&OP forecasts, measuring against last forecast, budget and actual.

Skills, experience,

• Qualified or PQ ACCA or CIMA
• Experience of working in a reporting and analytical capacity.
• Able to demonstrate an understanding of working within an FMCG environment.
• Able to build working relationships easily with all key functions in the organisation.
• Able to work effectively in a matrix structure recognising responsibilities to both Group and location and able to strike appropriate balance between the two.
• Adopt the continuous improvement methodology, challenge current working practices.
• Strong IT skills, advanced excel.
