Seymour John are excited to be exclusively recruiting a Group Procurement Director for a leading multi-national FMCG business based in Staffordshire. This is a fantastic opportunity for the successful candidate to join a highly reputable business and create added value and positive impact across the Group.
We are looking for a strong leader with the ability to facilitate & collaborate, coach, inspire and empower the team around them. As a key member of the Operational Boards, you will be responsible for leading and setting the strategic direction of the Group Procurement function in collaboration and alignment with the Global Procurement Director. Leading a large team across sites in the UK and Europe, you will be responsible for developing a clear, results-focused strategy across specialist major spend areas and regions.
People and Team Management
A large part of the role will be to develop and lead your team across the Group with a focus on the creation of robust training plans which develop people within the whole function.
The vision is to create a group of individuals who are fully trained and engaged, promoting a culture of high-performance and knowledge share. The team should be well regarded across the Group with a high level of expertise for their spend categories, leading best practice within the industry.
You will be responsible for creating an environment of collaboration, listening, openness, trust, and respect. Acting as a role model to ensure the team are enthusiastic yet challenging, working together with their internal stakeholders and key interfaces to share best practice and to set and implement the business objectives and targets.
