Gloucestershire Managed Services (GMS) is an exciting multi-service company which offers clients across the public and private sector a range of services, including facilities management and building control. The company is a wholly owned subsidiary of Gloucestershire NHS Foundation Trust (the Trust) based in Gloucestershire, which was setup in April 2018.
With our ambition to grow sustainably over the next few years this an exciting time to be joining as we are now looking for an experienced and commercially aware Financial Controller who will support our Finance & Commercial Director in all aspects of our financial and IT systems and budgetary control functions to support the commercial financial viability and growth of GMS.
You will provide a high quality, timely and comprehensive financial service to Senior Operational Managers and Budget Managers for GMS. This includes the interpretation and presentation of financial information, financial evaluation and investment / disinvestment proposals linked to developments and savings plans. The role also entails providing financial instruction, advice, guidance, training and support. The ideal candidate will influence decision making at a strategic level through full membership of the Senior Financial Management team and through the provision of business and financial advice to Executive Directors and Operational Managers. You will participate fully in the work of the Financial Management Team and support both the Trust and individual departments in achieving their respective financial objectives, and in implementing national and local policies.
The successful candidate will be CCAB qualified, commercially astute and have a strong track record of success, especially in leading and managing staff to ensure positive finance related outcomes for GMS and their customers. You will be required to undertake an enhanced CRB check if you are successful.
