Financial Controller - Worcestershire

Financial Controller | FMCG Manufacturing | Worcestershire | £65,000 + benefits 15% bonus and partner private health insurance. 4 x life assurance and up to 8% pension contributions from us included too.

The Company

My client is looking for an experienced individual to provide financial decision making and to act as finance lead in driving improvements in performance. You will ensure site budgets; capital investments and three-year plans are optimised and to act as business partner to the site manager

The Opportunity

• Provide, develop, maintain and deliver a system of financial control within company and regulatory guidelines with adherence to company policies and procedures at all times.
• Ensure adherence to group standard costing methodology, implementing periodic updates of product costing models
• Responsible for capturing improvement opportunities, holding site management to account for actual returns delivered
• Review and drive improvements in site forecasting and performance metrics
• Drive improvements in operational budgeting,
• Coordinate and facilitate the detailed budget and forecasting process of the site, including explaining business impacts to Internal, Functional and Group colleagues
• Evaluate and continuously review investment opportunities for the site and support wider team in reviewing network design options
• Support Commercial / Logistics teams with new Tenders by providing robust financial updates for product costing
• Provide robust financial modelling and systems solutions to new business opportunities across all manufacturing processes of the site
• Act as business partner to the local site manager.
• Provide the site management team with clear, timely and accurate financial analysis.

Personal Profile

• Qualified Accountant with 5+ yrs. PQA essential
• FMCG or High-volume manufacturing experience essential
• SAP Experience essential
• Ability to operate at all levels
• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to manage and influence
• Self-starter with the ability to business partner and influence decision making within site leadership team.
• Needs to be a team player, but capable of working on own initiative, developing skills in new areas
