The Company

My client is a world leader in their sector of manufacturing.

Role

Financial partner to the Plant General Manager, and Senior Leadership Team, providing insight and financial perspective to operational decisions and to highlight areas of opportunity and development. To assist the Plant Controller with maintaining the control environment and compliance with PCC policies and requirements.

The Opportunity

  • Support the Plant General Manager with explanation and interpretation of Financial Performance and assist with the development of strategic plans.
  • Develop benchmarking insights and support development of action plans to improve financial performance.
  • Understanding, translating, and providing insight into business performance. Ability to connect the dots.
  • Oversee the development, maintenance, and efficiency of the financial and business reporting suite.
  • Lead the preparation, submission, and delivery of financial forecasts to Division/ Corporate ensuring the alignment/ buy-in of operational and commercial teams.

  • Able to understand the business (products, customers and processes) and their key drivers of success (how they make money, what the business costs are)
  • Builds trust across multiple stakeholder groups.
  • Demonstrates a high degree of curiosity. Invests time and energy into learning.

Qualifications

  • Degree – Finance/Accounting
  • Possession of a professional accounting qualification, i.e. ACMA, ACCA, ACA, is mandatory in this position, together with a minimum of three years’ post-qualification accounting experience in industry
  • Proven ability to partner with Commercial and Operational teams and to influence business decisions
