Working in partnership with Seymour John our retained client, Earl of Plymouth Estates, is a well-established, financially sound, diverse business group. Its activities include commercial and residential property, a sand and gravel quarry, renewable energy generation, a kindergarten, farming, and the Ludlow Food Centre encompassing Ludlow Farmshop, The Clive Arms, and Ludlow Kitchen café. Reporting to the Head of the finance function, the business is keen to hire the talents of a commercially-oriented Qualified Finance professional. You’ll work with the finance team to enhance financial management, management accounting, processes, reporting and planning discipline spanning the group; and you will have the freedom to work across all the businesses and functions to identify and collaborate proactively to unlock business improvement opportunities and to enhance decision making. We are also very interested to harness your experience in IT and improving systems and processes which underpin business control, efficiency and management information capability.

We are looking for someone inquisitive with a natural interest in understanding diverse business activities, someone who will challenge, provoke thought, and can do so in the mindset of a collaborative team player able to engage and bring people together in the interests of business improvement.
Ideally, we are seeking a fully Qualified Accountant (ACCA, CIMA / ACMA or ACA)
Experience in analysing information to give clarity to decision making is essential, and any experience in improving systems, IT and processes would be valuable.
