Mental health services are facing unprecedented growth and expansion and an increased presence in the media with athletes and celebrities openly discussing their conditions. As such there has never been a more exciting time to join an NHS mental health provider.
This particular role is a Chief Financial Accountant, and we are looking for individuals who may not be currently working in the NHS but if you have the relevant experience and desire to work in the NHS, we’d like to hear from you.
This is an exciting opportunity which will suit an individual with a CCAB or CIMA professional accountancy qualification and a successful track record. You will be an integral member of our team, leading, engaging, and influencing staff at all levels.
The post holder will be responsible for the production of the statutory accounts ensuring they are prepared in accordance with international accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
The post holder will be play a key role in the development of the Trust’s long term financial model, directly providing all aspects of balance sheet and cash flow forecasting models and will be responsible for providing expert advice on financing options to deliver the Trust’s overall strategy and maintain long term financial viability.
He / she will ensure that all senior finance staff are kept abreast of changes in standards, providing detailed guidance as to the likely impact on Trust’s financial position of proposed changes and, where necessary, oversee the implementation of changes in accounting practices, ensuring the Trust’s accounts comply at all times with regulatory requirements.
We are seeking applications from individuals who have the drive, passion and ability to make a difference. You must have significant experience in a finance role with excellent relationship building skills. You will be a good influencer with strong communication and analytical skills.
