This particular role is an Assistant Buyer, and we are looking for individuals who may not be currently working in the NHS but if you have the relevant experience and desire to work in the NHS, we’d like to hear from you.
The Assistant Buyer will support the Head of Procurement, ensuring that Procurement provide an effective and professional procurement service delivering ongoing cost efficiencies and benefits in line with Trust and customer objectives.
As part of the team you will assist and support the Head of Procurement undertaking procurement activity in the form of tendering, development and ongoing support of a portfolio of contracts in compliance with Trust SFIs and Public Procurement Legislation. This will include sourcing and procuring goods, equipment, materials and services which meet customer requirements by demonstrating value for money and promoting an integrated approach to procurement.
The postholder will support Procurement colleagues on tenders, contract negotiations and other projects with accurate, consistent and meaningful in-depth data analytics. Ensure that agreements reached with suppliers are supported with transparent appraisals of current supplier performance and the new supplier selection process is robust and delivers savings and efficiencies for the business.
We are seeking applications from individuals who have the drive, passion and ability to make a difference. You must have significant experience in a finance role with excellent relationship building skills. You will be a good influencer with strong communication and analytical skills.
